Smart Growth Integration Planning Series
The Facilitation of Smart Growth Integration for County Initiatives
and Development Programs
Cities, Counties and governing agencies are experiencing pressure
from their constituents to curb or slow down private sector development,
but these same constituents still push for economic prosperity
for the community in which they reside. Private industry and the
development sectors can justify the need for new infrastructure
and construction due to increased population while serving the
demand for housing and commercial development in order to meet
the requirements and or satisfaction of the local population.
Regional and local Governments are confronted with the daunting
task of providing solutions, programs and policies that will bring
these sectors together working toward a common goal and vision.
How can a governing agency gather the information, resources
and participation of all sectors without bias and individual priorities
being served?
The Community Greenhouse Foundation is dedicated to helping communities
and convinced that the answer is in the following:
• Providing educational events and opportunities for
governing agencies, local citizen population and industry.
• Engage opposing groups to join and participate in
structured non-binding workshops and planning seminars.
• Explore opportunities and concepts of how to integrate
governmental initiatives, incentives and programs to facilitate,
foster and provide a catalyst for all groups to support.
• Utilize non-partisan groups and organizations to facilitate
and coordinate activities and events to increase participation
from all sectors.
The “Smart Growth Integration” planning series provides
a non-partisan forum and workshop to educate, explore and create
a bridge for groups and government to participate. The participation
and input by all parties will assist in the establishing of an
expectable and common vision and goal for the future of where
they work, live and play.
